I graduated May of 2007, with my A.A.S in sign language interpreting. After the past three years of contracting full time with public schools as an Educational interpreter. I decided to take a job offer with Americorps (the domestic peacecorps). For the next ten and a half months I’ll be living and working at Washington School for the Deaf, but working for Washington Reading Corps. I'll be helping tutor/teach preschool-6th grade english/reading/asl. The goal once my term of service ends is to finish my Special Ed degree and to eventually get my Masters in Deaf education. I absolutely love my job. Not many can say they really love what they do, but I truly love what I do. I created this blog to help keep my family and friends at home updated on the current events of my service term.
